Just another late post

18 Ramadhan 1437 H Assalamualaikum warrahmatullahi wabarakatuh Tuhan Maha Baik. Continue reading Just another late post

Raw Coco-Banana Balls

I love playing in my kitchen, especially when my aunt is not around as it means i rule my own way! Ha!

Anyways, it’s gonna be my first post about foods and i promise you’ll find it super easy peasy. Actually, this recipe was originally named as Raw Coco-Banana Pop Cakes by the humble and amazing Pak Wied Harry. Yet, since i found no stick yesterday, i left those sweet lil things rolled. For you, sweet tooth, I bet it may be one of your favorite snacks. Say goodbye to Ferrero Rocher and please welcome the raw coco-banana balls.

Mise en Place is important, Darlings. So, before you start exploding your kitchen, please prepare the ingredients ready on your desk. Below is my mise en place for the raw balls.

  Now, the recipe!

  • 1 ripe banana (of course i use local ambonese banana)
  • Raw cashews (soak for about 2hours before use)
  • Coconut flour
  • Dates/raisins/sultanas/dried figs
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sea salt

You see no exact measurement given. Yes, i do it on purpose. You can tweak it to meet your appetite 😋

  • Put the cashews into food processor or grinder. Blend until it turns into chunks.
  • Add banana and other ingredients except the flour. Mix altogether.
  • Once you get the desired consistency (not too mushy, not too hard. You may add a few tspns of water if needed), place the mixture into a bowl. Add the flour in.
  • Knead the batter and start making balls.
  • Roll the balls over the sesame seeds
  • Let it sit for a couple of hours in freezer prior to serving.

Munch them with the beloved ones and have a sweet day!
